Tapered Roller Bearings

Tapered roller bearings consist of an outer ring, inner ring and a roller assembly designed to support a combination of radial and (one directional) axial loading. The bearings are commonly used in pairs, with the tapers facing in opposite directions, allowing them to handle axial loading from two (opposite) directions.

Tapered roller bearings are extensively used in the automotive industry including fuel pumps, water pumps, gearboxes, differentials & steering columns. Other typical applications include construction equipment, pumps, printing presses and paper mill machinery.
